DISCLAIMER: I post this out of desperation, there is no humor in this post, so not to let the suffering of these people be had in vain and to perhaps help prevent another tragedy. With the increasing build up toward an engagement with Iran its important, now more then ever, that we put an end to the misinformation and call out the hypocrisy used to propogate this violence. This is not a game, all evidence points towards an immanent war with Iran be it weeks or months from now (hopefully never), it is time to ramp up the anti-war campaign. We cannot let this happen. WHAT IS THIS???
This is an image taken from this website, which claims it is a picture of an "Iranian women" who was given 74 lashes for not dressing properly in public. The image is not referenced, and the website is questionable, and in spite of the fact that it is called "Planet Iran" every article appears to be anti-Iranian, and pro-western/ Israeli. There is no contact information, or about section on this website, and from what I have been told first hand by people from the middle east, Iran is one of the more liberal of these societies, who in spite of the fact that this practice is still law, is not commonly enforced. But regardless lets assume this is real for a second... Hold that thought and lets continue...
WHAT IS THIS???
These are Iraq war casualty images. All of this suffering was incurred in the name of bringing "democracy to the middle east", this barbarism is seen as justified, and a necessary collateral infliction to approach a democratic end which is NEVER ACTUALIZED. Not to demote the suffering of the woman above (whether she is actually Iranian or not) it is a rude awakening to the hypocrisy and disregard for human life of those who determine our fate. Lets review some facts. If we were to use the abuse of women to justify our crusade then what says we about countries we are allied with in the region who are even more brutal than the Iranian regime is towards their women?
Saudi Arabia: One of the US/ Israeli allies within the region who receive the unwavering support of the oil thirsty Pax Americana war machine, are known for their backwards laws which oppress women (stoning, whipping etc). Our countries in the west actively support this violence against women every time we go to the gas pump, and indeed our leaders are in full support of the Saudi royals who keep the population in check. Saudis were even accused of committing 9/11 (which we all know is bullshit, but even if true...) it doesn't prevent us from offering unwavering support to the regime. Why? There is no surprise that MONEY is the answer.This is not to say all muslims within Saudi Arabia condone this violence, it is a small sect within these countres who have twisted the words of the Muslim religion for their own benefit, namely the ruling fundumbentalist regime.
Afghanistan: In the 9 years in which the US has been in Afghanistan women have not been granted the rights that were promised (which the US used unsparingly to vilify the Taliban who are no angels), they are still abused and mistreated, and the opium production is breaking records annually, as is the prevalence of drug addiction in our own society.
Israel: Israel routinely slaughters Palestinians who are justifably enraged because they have been forced off their land, onto the fringes of what was once called Palestine by Christians, Muslims and real Jews. All of the good land has been given to Israeli immigrants who are granted citizenship simply because they apart of the Jewish diaspora, while the Palestinian natives have been forced into ghettos (similar to the concentration camps), only accessible through checkpoints, completely stripped of their humanity in all respects. Insult is added to injury in that these people are depicted as terrorists by the pro-Israeli media which dominates the American psyche. This is all so that Israel can police the region with its undisclosed nuclear missiles and make the surrounding nations compliant to western hegemony.
IRAN: In spite of the regimes ultra-conservative nature, and the distrust of it by their own people, Iran has complied fully with all United Nations guidelines regarding their nuclear program. Indeed, no one supports the dictatorships mistreatment of its own people (which is of course grossly overblown in US media). The US/ Britain have engaged in a campaign to topple the regime from the inside out since the Iranian revolution in 1979, so the ongoing crackdown of their own people is viewed by the regime as justifed as preserving Iran from the clutches of globalism, mulinationals and the corrupted monetary system that seeks to enslave the planet with debt. Again this is no excuse for stifling dissent in their own country but I ask you this, is it enough to justify more of the violence as we see on the right? Knowing full well that these social justice issues have not been minimized in the least with western involvement?
DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PROPAGANDA, IF THEY ATTACK IRAN IT IS NOT TO SAVE THE WOMEN, NOR IS IT ABOUT SECURITY, IT IS ABOUT MONEY AND POWER.
