The Obama campaign machine (clocked at about 1 billion dollars), was capable of stretching itself over every inch of America including many areas throughout the world over a span of 2 years, to the point when even the comatose were waking up demanding their underwear be changed. Now consider that the Pentagon is spending 5 times that within the span of 1 year to "shape public opinion" of the US military both at home an abroad. In addition a workforce of 27,000 people have been conscripted to administrate the pentagons blatantly obvious  propaganda campaign. Clearly, the best thing to do when your fake economy is in shambles is to allocate even more money to the military in order to justify your upcoming oppressive gallivants about the globalized world. Its more likely that public disclosure of a 'reduction' in pentagon funding may yield more positive attitudes towards the US military as that would signal an actual decline in US militancy, and a signal of change. Bump that shit homes! We have decided that we will nearly double military spending for 2009, in addition to disclosing that we are allocating 5 billion dollars to brainwash you??!??

The pentagons foreign media campaign is lumped under the title of "psychological operations"... right. Nothing to raise a brow at there! Psychological operations basically amounts to foreign propaganda, that is geared towards countries that are being played by the military industrial complex. As propaganda is technically illegal in the US, the double standard could not be more profound, its illegal to motivate people with fallible emotional appeals in the US... but not abroad. Rather, domestic propaganda easily slips under the radar as we are given whats termed liberal and conservative media, which we are told succinctly exhausts the spectrum of information (truth). When one realizes that these same media agencies such as NBC have shareholders with investments in the countries the US takes over it shouldn't require an Einstein to figure out that THIS ARTICLE is a part of the elaborate propaganda campaign. This campaign is far more elaborate as it creates the illusion that the establishment is being monitored; that someone is on the case.

The metathesis of this article is perhaps more perplexing, why would the corporate news organization NBC publish an article that houses such an anti-establishment tone? Well for one its important they seize any opportunity to appear as liberal as possible so to enhance the illusion that they represent the best interests of the populations and are reporting in a non-bias manner; that they are protecting the integrity of American democracy. They are well beyond knowing that no matter what they publicize, the unorganized and semi-interested / alienated populous will simply graze over it, have a quick bitch and likely forget about it before they even move on! In addition these talking points like the Iraq war seek to create division and overshadow the most fundamental inequity of our time, which is class.

The fact that they are beefing up their PR campaign should bring us all reassurance that the worst has past and they aren't just preparing us all for the next profitable conflict. Surely...
