I am an advocate of "Freeing Marc Emery" back into the world of freedumb as soon as possible, however this is just another convenient distraction and perhaps evidence of the naiveté of a lot of the people who smoke the stuff, especially people who fixate on it as if its the most important thing worth fighting for in life. It amazes me how 1 million people illegitimately held on weed charges (mostly black) won't arouse the faintest interest, yet some iconic pothead popstar gets the shaft and everyone acts like its the most important issue since bleached bread. This is not a protest for marijauna rights and justice for those wrongly incarcerated, its a protest for Marc Emery. This is made blatantly obvious by the "Free Marc Emery" campaign. I understand Marc is worried and his galvanized the masses for this cause, and I have watched him speak, and he makes a great contribution to the big picture. But this marijuana martyrdom thing isn't going to help the people who were given a much longer sentence for doing far less in the marijuana industry. Marc should man up and turn the focus towards those he will be sharing a cell with.
