New alcoholism vaccine is made

The new alcoholism vaccine, which works like patches used for kicking smoking, is believed to be more efficient as it specifically targets liver cells.

It works by neutralizing aldehyde dehydrogenase, a group of enzymes that metabolizes alcohol and are therefore responsible for alcohol tolerance, said the lead Chilean researcher Juan Asenjo.

Apart from contributing to a general feeling of ''unease,'' the vaccine would increase nausea, heartbeat and sweating following drinking alcohol.

"The therapy has been tested in rats that are genetically alcoholics, and has worked successfully to decrease the addiction by 50 percent," researchers said, hoping that the vaccine may reduce the alcohol consumption by 90-95 percent.

H1N1 Vaccine Pandemrix's Link to Narcolepsy Under Investigation

Sweden’s Medical Products Agency (MPA) has started to investigate H1N1 vaccine Pandemrix, which has been linked to narcolepsy in children and adolescents, on the request of the European Commission.


So far, twelve confirmed cases of narcolepsy have been reported after patients received the Pandemrix vaccine. Apart from Sweden and Finland, where most of the cases were reported, there have also been cases reported in France, Germany, and Norway.


“Narcolepsy is a rare sleep disorder that causes a person to fall asleep suddenly and unexpectedly,” according to an MPA press release.


“Its precise cause is unknown, but it is generally considered to be triggered by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, including infections.”


According to a 2009 report published by the European Medicines Agency, fatigue is one of the most common side effects of Pandemrix.


“The role of the vaccine in these cases is still unclear and under investigation,” said Dr. Jane Ahlqvist Rastad of the MPA.


“A number of different reasons may be behind the observed rise in the incidence of narcolepsy: A (H1N1) infection, vaccination, a compound effect of infection and vaccination, or some other factor entirely. Infections in general are known to cause narcolepsy,” said a press release of the Finnish National Institute for Health (THL).


Rastad says over six million doses of the vaccine have been used in Sweden, which has a total population of 9.3 million. Rastad said that there are other vaccines available, but Pandemrix was chosen for the Swedish vaccination campaign.


Pandemrix was authorized by the European Union in September 2009. At least 30 million people in Europe, and 90 million people in the world, have been vaccinated with Pandemrix.


On Tuesday, the THL proposed suspending Pandemrix until the investigation is completed.


According to another report, published in 2008, on the characteristics of Pademrix on the website of the European Medicines Agency, the vaccine has to be stored between 2°C and 8°C (35.6 – 46.4°F) and cannot be frozen. The 2009 report stated that the vaccine should be used within 24 hours after mixing.

With vaccine supplies limited, social butterflies on Facebook could find themselves targeted for real-world injections. Stanford University researchers have created an algorithm that uses social networking data to identify the people who are “bridges” between different tight-knit circles of friends or communities, so that limited vaccine supplies can be used wisely.

The mathematical model focused on the fact that just a few individuals often form the links between different social groups. It also made use of data that came from back in 2005, when Facebook was only open to college students.

The relationships and interactions on five university campuses provided a useful starting scenario for the model to recognize clusters of people and predict bridges between them.

“When a new virus starts spreading, neither the time nor the necessary doses of vaccine to immunize everyone is available,” said Marcel Salathe, a postdoc biology researcher at Stanford University. So you’d want a strategy that allows you to protect a population as much as possible given the limited resources that you have.”

H1N1 kills no one, we mean 1000, we mean 4000, no actually 10,000 yeah thats it...

Today the CDC came out saying that the actual Swine flu death toll (claimed to be only 1000 a couple weeks ago) is actually 10000, with 200,000 people hospitalized, so not to come off as being in league with drug companies who have exaggerated the flus virulence and significance to off their poison on the bitch slave retards. Now that the CDC has reached the 10000 death toll goal, their efforts to have the population immunized will appear justified in retrospect. Never mind that the number 10,000 is pure bullshit speculation to try to generate enough fear to use up the remaining vaccine stocks (and  toxicate the 2/3rds of the pop who hasnt recieved the vaccine) before the third and final wave (marketing oppurtunity) of this bullshit pandemic has passed us by... They are doing their best not to look like bullshitters in the best way they know how... by bullshitting some more.

The number 10,000 is not based on recorded cases (as that would make sense), rather its based on NOTHING its PURELY an estimate, one which still falls short of being a significant incidence of influenza anyways consider 35,000 die from it every year in the USA... Regardless the latest numbers are expected to create another cattle run into the drug dealers arms...
