The new video game euphemistically termed "call of duty": modern warfare 2, is already the fastest selling video game of all time. The game has come under criticism as it allows players to
plot terrorist attacks on civilians (i.e. asides from the expected imperialist/ democracy bringing angle which is considered ok...), in addition to its glorification of war and imperialism, while making the horrific reality seem cool and fun to the tweens it will brainwash, and desensitize to be exploited in upcoming (and ongoing) war...
In addition to actually using these kinds of games to
recruit new soldiers for ACTUAL wars... it resembles a
game actually created by the US military for this purpose... I wouldnt doubt if this one was funded by them directly... Sure enough (and like Facebook) the video game is getting free advertising on all major media networks for its record breaking sales... popularizing it even more!
Its all fun and games when you can press pause.
