DARPA revealed earlier this year that they were working on a new form of surveillance that would see cameras and microships implanted into real life beetles (hardwiring to their neural circuitry) to run reconnassaince missions and

They are now working on a radioactive isotope to be used as a nuclear battery of sorts, it will be a wireless power source that we are told (of course) is safe for human beings. Currently the cyborg runs on built in battery power which limits its flight time capacity...
